Mrs. Renee Burton, Greenfield 7th and 8th grade language arts teacher, entered students’ writings in the 2024 LAD (Language Arts Department of Southwest Missouri) Fair held at Republic High School on April 27. Students received 22 ribbons in all, 4 group ribbons which included 20 students with 47 poems, 18 individual ribbons, and 23 different students placed (either individually or in a group or both). In addition, Chloe Mays’ 1st place long rhymed poem was chosen to be performed at the Fair in the Dance-a-Poem program.
