FCCLA

Members of the Greenfield Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)  attended the 2025 Missouri FCCLA State Leadership Conference from March 16-18, 2025, at Margaritaville Lake Resort and Conference Center in Osage Beach. The conference, centered on the student-developed theme “Missouri FCCLA: The Greatest Show,” celebrated the spectacular leadership skills of Missouri FCCLA members.

Baylea Conroy, Cera Dickerson, and Rhilley Guenzel represented Greenfield FCCLA as STAR event participants and voting delegates. Students were accompanied by advisor Nora McCready, who supported and guided them throughout the conference. Conroy and Dickerson competed in the Chapter in Review Display, earning a 1st place in their category by creating an attractive display and  presenting a speech about the Greenfield FCCLA activities for the year.  Guenzel took on an essential leadership role as a voting delegate, participating in key decision-making processes and attending leadership workshops to enhance her skills and bring ideas back to the chapter to implement next year. Exhibits from Missouri colleges, universities, and vendors provided further opportunities for students to explore future education and career paths.

FCCLA is unique among student organizations as events like the State Leadership Conference are entirely student-planned and student-led. This emphasis on youth-centered leadership helps members develop essential "skills for life," including planning, goal setting, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal communication—all of which are critical in both the workplace and daily life.
