The Greenfield R-IV Music Department has had a busy month! Here are some of our highlights.
On December 2, 2022, the elementary classes put on two different musicals. The preschool
classes started the show by singing four songs. The K-3 rd grade classes performed their musical, ”Stormy, the Singing Snowman.” The 4 th -6 th grade classes ended the show with ”North Pole Musical.” This year we had a lot of speaking parts, and we even incorporated American Sign Language (ASL) into our songs. Now that we have returned from break, we are excited to learn more in music!
The following day, the choir performed following the band concert. We have relaunched the
5 th /6 th Grade Honor Choir this year, and they performed some classic holiday favorites. The high school choir performed ”A Christmas Greeting,” ”Joy to the World,” and ended with our
traditional ”Carol of the Bells.” Some students even had the opportunity to perform solos chosen by them. This semester, we are preparing for various honor choir opportunities, music festivals, and our upcoming spring concert that will be held April 26 th . Mark your calendars!
