On January 7th, 2023, three students from Greenfield High School had the opportunity to perform with the SWMMEA All-Conference Band. Haiden Strieter (Senior), Joseph Land (Sophomore), and Caleb Strieter (Freshman) were nominated to participate in the ensemble. The ensemble was comprised of students from all over Southwest Missouri. The All-Conference band was under the direction of Dr. Brandon E. Robinson, the Director of Bands at Missouri Southern State University. In this experience, students received collegiate-level band instruction and the opportunity to perform in a large ensemble of over 100 musicians. After just one day of rehearsing, the All-Conference band performed a full concert at Joplin High School. Overall, the performance by the SWMMEA All-Conference Band was a success, thanks to the hard work and dedication of all the students who participated.
