REMINDER,
This week the kids will be completing their Math-a-thon booklets for St. Judes. We are extending the due date for donations to be turned in to April 5th so the kids can show what they completed in the math booklet. This fundraiser is in honor of one of our own Wildcat students. Thanks for all your efforts to raise money for St. Jude's.
Pie Day in the Little Cat room means a whole different thing than Pi Day, or March 14. Our Pie Day was yesterday, March 20, when one of our classmates was rewarded for being one of the students bringing the most cans for our food drive. Monroe happily earned the the task of throwing pie in Ms. Boss’ face. Our class attended the assembly for this occasion. After the event was over and we returned to class, Monroe said “I love Pie Day!” and everyone agreed, it was indeed fun.

The Greenfield High School Child Development Class joined students in the Little Cat room today. These high school students are a fantastic group of sophomores!!! This morning they brought noodle necklaces for the preschoolers to make and take home. This activity helps students develop eye-hand coordination, pincher grip and practice fine motor skills. Thank you for the beautiful necklace to wear home and all the fun!!!
Reminder, school will be released at 1:00 pm today, Thursday, March 7th for Parent Teacher Conferences. No school Friday, March 8th for Teacher Professional Development and no school next week for Spring Break. Enjoy the time off and see everyone back on Monday, March 18th.

The Greenfield High School Child Development Class has been coming to visit preschool on Thursday mornings. Last week these high school friends made playdough for the students in the Little Cat room to explore and play with. Today, the high school friends brought books to read to us. Books about trains, farm animals and turtles. While the high school friends are here, preschool students practice listening, communication skills and have a lot of FUN!!!

In the Little Cat Room, we have been writing letters, making Valentines and mailing it all in our classroom mailbox. On Wednesday, we each donned the Postman outfit to deliver our own valentines to each of our friends mailboxes. We decided delivering mail was a lot of work!!! But, oh so much FUN!!!!
Roses are red,
Wildcats are blue,
We LOVE celebrating Valentines Day,
How about you?
Happy Valentines Day from Greenfield Elementary! The students are enjoying an afternoon of parties and a Valentines Dance!
The pre-school recently received new computers. These little computers can do many things!!! They look like a miniature computer and can fold and rotate into a tablet. Students in the Little Cat room have been practicing paths of movement, beginning letter writing, learning songs, identifying numbers, counting quantities and so many other fun educational activities. It is our hope that students will learn the value of technology to be used as a tool for investigation and innovation. Thank you Greenfield Administration and Board of Education!!!
Today was Crazy Hair and Crazy Sock Day at Greenfield Elementary. This week students are showing school spirit for this Friday's Courtwarming! Don't forget tomorrow, Thursday is Pajama Day and Friday is WildCat Day, wear anything with a Wildcat on it.
Students in the Little Cat Room began a unit about the Postman and mailing letters. Today, we read about many different types of mail, letters, cards and advertisements. We wrote our own letter to a friend in our classroom, addressed the envelope and placed stamps on it. (Thank you, Ms. Reid) Once our letter was ready, we walked to the office to see Ms. Rachel. Ms. Rachel sees the postman everyday, and she said she would give our letter to him so that he could deliver it to our friend. We also wrote letters to each other that we mailed in our classroom mailbox to be delivered to friends here at school. This was a really fun activity!
