Care to Learn & Greenfield Schools have partnered to help offer assistance to our families that are in need this holiday season. Help us make their Christmas a little brighter! If you would like to help one of our Wildcat students in need this season, please come choose a paw off of our tree and give it to Nurse Natasha to trade in for that child’s list. You are not required to purchase everything on that child’s list just choose a couple from the “needs” portion and one or two from the “wants” portion. We ask that you have your gifts purchased, wrapped and delivered to the school no later than Friday, December 14th. If you have any questions, please contact Nurse Natasha at 417-637-5921 extension 212.

Missouri Assessment Program test scores have been received and will be sent home with students Monday, December 3rd. Please see Counselor Breedlove's attached letter to parents.

Happy #GivingTuesday! Today I am choosing to #CaretoGive and support Care to Learn Greenfield which provides immediate funding to meet emergent needs in the areas of health, hunger, and hygiene so every student can be successful in school. A coat. A meal. A pair of eyeglasses. These are the simple things that often stand between a child and their ability to engage in learning and be accepted by their peers. Join me in supporting CaretoLearn Greenfield, and your donations will help students succeed! Go to https://caretolearn.org/southwest-missouri/greenfield/ to donate. Thank you!

The preschoolers in the Little Cat room made a turkey snack!! We have a fun book to read about a turkey who runs from the farmer because he doesn’t want to be Thanksgiving dinner.

PTO would like to remind everyone that our raffle for 2 seats at the Christmas program need to be turned in on Monday, November 19th.

The Greenfield Elementary hosted a retired teachers luncheon with a traditional Thanksgiving feast. 1st grade students, led by music teacher Mrs. Lynn Beeson, performed the meaning of Thanksgiving for our guests. Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat. #1community, #makingadifference

Pilgrims and Indians
Students in our Little Cat room learned about the Indians and the pilgrims. We learned that the pilgrims sailed on a big boat on the water for many, many days. We made a painting of the ship they sailed on.

Today was a beautiful day for a nature walk. Students in the Little Cat room enjoyed reading the book, Grandfather and I. This is a book about a young child and their Grandfather taking a walk and all of the things they see on their walk. We saw beautiful fall trees and leaves on our own nature walk. There were purple flowers, squirrel nests, bird nests and a stuck truck! We were even able to pick up a few leaves to share with our families!!

Reminder; the Greenfield R-IV School District will release early on Friday, November 9th at 1:00 pm. Elementary School students will begin releasing at 1:00 pm and JH/HS students will be released once buses arrive from the Elementary School.

Today in our Little Cat Room we learned that pumpkins float. They have seeds inside, and our pumpkin had 23 lines on it. We carved our pumpkin, scooped out all the seeds and mush and made it a jack-o-lantern. We gave our jack-o-lantern triangle eyes, nose and a great big smile!!

Fundraising Packets are Due TOMORROW, October 30th. Please check the collection procedures.

Pre-K “Messy Night”. Water, cornstarch, slim, rice and shaving cream. That is the recipe for smiling faces in Greenfield!
